Family Reunions

The Eastern Carolina Village & Farm Museum 1840-1940 has proven to be a popular destination for family reunions. These pictures show recent family gatherings from spring and summer 2014.

Bob Shackleford, a Village board member, organized a family reunion in the spring.

Roger Kammerer talked to the family members about the history of the Eagles school, a typical one-room school house built in 1903.

The Louis family sits on 18th century pews in the Village's chapel, modeled after the oldest standing church in Pitt County, the Tyson Meeting House, a Primitive Baptist Church.

The Franck family enjoyed a tour of the Village, along with a program in the Eagles school, followed by a photo op on the steps of the Thomas Adrian Savage House.
